Nightingale City Quest Walkthrough

Spoiler Alert! We have put together a basic walkthrough of the required quests to complete Nightingale City below. There are other optional side quests that are not included in this guide.

• Quest 1 to 4 will only be available with a character that has access to The Watch

• If you choose to create a new character in the "NIGHTINGALE_CITY" shard, the quest will start at Quest 5

The Watch

Quest 1: First Steps in The Watch

• Talk to the following NPCs to complete the quest:

• Talk to Barnabus Dent

• Talk to Peter Smith-Jones.

• Talk to Manqoba.

• Return to Quatermain

Quest 2: A Gate to the Void

• Talk to Agatha Harris

• Acquire/Attach the correct Infusions to the Pale Suppression Device Return to Quatermain

Quest 3: The Love of the Unknown

• Travel to the inter-Realmic Void using the Watch Transept found in the second floor of the Corrupted Tower

• Acquire the “Collocated Locus”

• Return to Quatermain

Quest 4: The Way Home

• Using the recipe in your Progression menu, build a Transept Portal to Nightingale City (where building is valid)

• Travel to Nightingale City

Quest 5: A City Under Siege

• Talk to Ada Lovelace. She can be found in the Astrarium (see map)

Queen’s Brae District:

The following quests can be done in order to proceed to the next District.

Between a Rock and a Hard Place

• Travel to the Calcularium

• Complete the Siege encounter

• Talk to Maria Skłodowska-Curie

Seeds of Hope

• Help people in Queen’s Brae

  • To complete this quest, you must complete at least two of three possible encounters listed below. Completing other encounters will not count towards this quest.

• Quests that count towards this quest include the following:

An Unspoken Debt

• Talk to Marie Skłodowska-Curie OR Travel to the NTTC Headquarters building

• Defeat the Bound

• Complete the Font of Authority encounter

• Talk to Nicholas Throckmorton

A Lost Spark

• Talk to Nicholas Throckmorton OR Travel to the Provisioner’s Borough

• Escort Granville Woods to the camp on the Docks

• Talk to Granville Woods

Rescue Louis

• Reach the building Louis is in

• Escort Louis to Blanche’s medical tent

The Gate of Queen’s Brae

• After completing Seeds of Hope, talk to Marie Skłodowska-Curie

• Go inside the unlocked Calcularium

• Kill the Bound and the Harbingers of Despair in the Calcularium

• Close the Calcularium Transept

• Talk to Marie Skłodowska-Curie

The Heart of the Matter

• Travel to the Pale Pylon

• Talk to the Calcularians

• Talk to Granville Woods

• Acquire a Thaumaturgic Bound Heart in the Calcularium

• Power up the Pale Pylon using the Thaumaturgic Bound Heart and complete the defense encounter

• Activate the Pale Pylon Transmitter to push back the Pale and open the way to the Cathedral District

Pandora’s Bane District:

Through the Bane and Below

• Find a way into the Sewers by exploring the Cathedral district

• Find the Cathedral Catacombs by exploring the Sewers

• Defeat the Bound and the Harbingers of Despair in the Catacombs

• Close the Cathedral Transept

Parting the Pale

• Acquire a Thaumaturgic Bound Heart in the Catacombs

• Travel to the Pale Pylon

• Talk to the Hermetics

• Power up the Pale Pylon using the Thaumaturgic Bound Heart and complete the defense encounter

• Activate the Pale Pylon Transmitter to push back the Pale and open the way to the Crystal Palace District

Isle of Dee District:

The Final Bastion

• Reach the Crystal Palace

• Complete the Font of Authority encounter

• Kill the Bound and Harbingers of Despair in the Crystal Palace

• Close the Crystal Palace Transept

• Investigate the turbulence in Monarch’s Rest

The Last Stand at Monarch’s Rest

• Defeat Oizys’s last solider

Hooke’s Folly District

A Nightingale’s Song

• Return to the Astrarium

• Talk to Ada Lovelace

• Use the Hopeful Minor Card (reward from the last quest) in the Realmic Transmuter in the Astrarium
