Missing residents on stations

So I was testing the work stations, and they appear to be functioning fine themselves. They generate resources as expected, and the estate cairn's storage works well with the crafting stations. So good job there.

However, I don't see my residents (NPC followers) at their location. I decided, because I didn't read the freaking patch notes (RTFPN kids), try to see if I could get T2/T3 resources if I went to another realm.

Patch notes, no you can't, but I got to see the residents actually working and that sparked a inquiry of if they would be shown working in my Abeyance.

I am on the island in the lower right, and I tried to replace the stations and reassign. I was not able to see the NPCs at work. I am not sure if it is some pathing thing they can't get to my base, but I don't see them on the map either.

So far, this only seems to happen in the Abeyance realm as I only checked the Forest Gauntlet for my T2/T3 experiment.
