Planks are very difficult to place, very restricted use case.

Planks have very restricted placement options - basically only connecting two tiles with a space in the middle. Having it connect on the side feels awkward. Ideally, I would like to use planks for a bridge that is curved by placing the plank with very little connection to my base/the ground, then placing another at the end of the first with a rotation. Also, both sides of the plank need to be supported which prevents chaining the planks.
